Interchange Retail Park - Bedford

Interchange Retail Park close to the A6 junction with the A421, a short drive out of Bedford towards Kempston, is a prime retail park in a prime location, but it was in need of modernisation.

Existing occupiers include Wilko, Matalan, Boots, Sports Direct, Home Bargains, Pets at Home, Argos Extra, Next, TK Maxx, Costa and McDonald’s, and with the adjoining retail and leisure parks, it forms part of a larger regional destination. Faircloth Construction stripped out the existing Clarks and Poundland stores, to repair their shell condition and create new front elevations – it is the fourth project Faircloth have undertaken on the site. What complicated this transformation a bit more than others, was the fact that Pets At Home has a veterinary practice adjacent to the project and measures had to be implemented to reduce sound and vibration. This was successfully achieved.
