Royal Mail Delivery Office, Salisbury
The project consisted of the construction of a new 1,750m² purpose-built Royal Mail Delivery Office in Salisbury. The facility includes a dedicated sorting area, high-quality amenity block, modern offices and meeting room facilities, providing a practical and comfortable working environment for staff.
External works include a new operational vehicle yard, private parking, EV charging infrastructure, bin store, substation, signage and fencing. The site has been future-proofed to support a fully electric vehicle fleet, alongside a partial roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) system to generate renewable energy and reduce the building’s carbon footprint.
Sustainability has been a key focus throughout the project, with the development designed to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating.
A key factor in the project’s success has been the close collaboration between our team and Royal Mail’s construction team, Watson Batty Architects, Ridge and Partners LLP, and Stace Consultants. By working together from the outset, we were able to capture all operational, technical, and sustainability requirements, ensuring the facility meets both current and future needs.
