With the help of Faircloth, QPR has installed a huge Virtuality LED screen above the School End Stand at the Loftus Road ground, as well as a digiSCORE scoreboard over the Loft End goal.
The steel support structures, which have been fixed to the existing grandstand frame, were designed, manufactured and installed by Faircloth and engineers HBPW Consulting Ltd.
The work was completed during the closed season in time for the Championship Clubs opening campaign win at home against Barnsley.
Paul Withers of HBPW Consulting said: Working with Faircloth, we carried out a detailed structural survey of the existing stadium roof. Subsequent calculations determined that the existing structure was insufficient to support the weight of the new screen, and more importantly the high wind loading which would be applied to the screen."
HBPW designed and detailed a triangulated structural framework to strengthen the roof cantilevers.
"Detailing of the frame was undertaken to ensure that the on site erection could be undertaken by manual methods due to the extreme radius required for a crane," he added.
QPR Deputy Managing Director Ali Russell said: "Faircloth did a superb job for us. The new screens look fantastic and have already been warmly received by our fans."
