ASM Auto Recycling

FAIRCLOTH have been involved in the re-development of the ASM Auto Recycling plant at Thame in Oxfordshire.
ASM is one of the country's most modern and professional vehicle salvage agents and parts recyclers, processing more than 15,000 vehicles each year
The 1,000 sqm new head office building took about nine months to complete and now provides warehousing storage for parts, plus a new sales reception area, and offices for staff and meetings. The development was finished earlier this year.
The sales reception was designed to allow the movement of heavy parts from the sales team to the customer without causing damage to fixtures and fittings.
Chris Morgan, in charge of operations at ASM Thame said: "The new site has enabled us to achieve huge operational efficiencies by co-ordinating all of our activities on one ‘state-of-the-art' site." These include online auction and motor salvage sales, a recycled auto parts shop, warehouse, vehicle dismantling and de-pollution facilities and storage for more than 2,000 vehicles
"This new ‘one-stop-shop' re-development represents a significant step forward for ASM's auto recycling operation, and we are sure that ultimately - and most importantly - it is our customers who will reap the many benefits that will come about as a result of the new site's synergies," said Chris.
Architect Ray Stone described the build as ‘straight forward' but added they had to work closely with the Environmental Agency to ensure all ‘de-pollution' work was carried out to exacting standards.
"It was the first time we have worked with Faircloth, with very pleasing results. There will certainly be more opportunities in the future to collaborate again," he said.
